MAISON AURÉLIE BIDERMANN

MAISONS BARBARA BUI AND AURÉLIE BIDERMANN ARE DELIGHTED TO REVEAL THEIR FIRST COLLABORATION CALLED ‘EKKAÏ’: A JEWELLERY COLLECTION INSPIRED BY THE ENCHANTING SYMBOLISM OF THE SNAKE.

BARBARA BUI and MAISON AURÉLIE BIDERMANN have joined forces for the first time to create ‘EKKAÏ’, a uniquely captivating jewellery collection inspired by the snake. This powerful andevocative symbol has been part of the aesthetic and graphic vocabulary of both Parisiandesigners for many years, each featuring the sensual figure of this mysterious reptile in theirrespective creations.

  • A SYMBOL OF FEMALE EMPOWERMENT

For their first collaboration, the designers have created a brand-new snake motif with a sculpturalhead and sinuous body engraved with scales, reminiscent of Barbara Bui’s sharp, rock-inspired lines and Aurélie Bidermann’s sunny, glamorous style. For the duo, this iconic, fully redesigned emblem embodies free and independent women, both attractive and mysterious, with a thrill about them. Both Maisons share a certain idea of female empowerment and irreverence, offering women a look without any rules.
  • ROCK CHIC AND BRIGHT

The ‘EKKAÏ’ collection is all about elegance and refinement, with a straight-talking approach so dear to Barbara Bui that also highlights the craftsmanship and jewellery-making savoirfaire of Maison Aurélie Bidermann. With three original pieces plated in 18-karat gold, including a long necklace, an ear cuff and a wrist cuff, this collaboration places a strong emphasis on engraving and hammering. Symbolising infinity, the snake is subtly engraved and sculpted in each piece, representing not only eternity but also transformation and rebirth, with each meticulously crafted jewel embodying the grace and fluidity of this mysterious reptile.
